Amber Case Management (ACM) Limited was formed with the aim and objective of providing high quality community based rehabilitation for people following a traumatic or acquired brain injury or catastrophic injury across the North West of England.

Pat Bardsley is clinical director of Amber Case Management, and has an excellent working relationship with her team and interdisciplinary professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for ACM clients.

Amber Case Management currently employs 2 more case managers; Stacey Hylton and Sue Gill. Both have enhanced experience from working in NHS settings.

Clients assigned to Amber Case Management have unique needs, and every client has a bespoke package, in adherence to CQC standards.

Prior to founding Amber Case Management Limited, Pat worked for the NHS and private clinics as an occupational therapist at management level. Her extensive career covered various genres of mental and physical health. Pat at this level, working for the NHS, included setting up to six mental health units and recruiting, managing and supervising the staff therein.

In 1990, Pat qualified as an occupational therapist.

In 2004, Pat joined the Floyd intermediate rehabilitation and support team in Rochdale (FIRST) where she was responsible for designing community and in-patient rehabilitation programmes for clients with brain or spinal cord injuries.

Pat continued to work with the FIRST team, but also covered others services in the Rochdale area; a physical and sensory service, and social services - assessing clients with neurological injury for major adaptations and / or adaptive housing.

In 2004, Pat also began operating as an Independent Occupational Therapist.

In 2010, Pat was approached by a leading law firm in Manchester, acting on behalf of a client assigned to the clinical serious injury team, 'and the rest is history'. The team has expanded from their office in Rochdale, to a new office in Oldham. The staff have multiplied and continue to do so.

In 2011, Pat registered with CQC to case manage clients with brain injuries and catastrophic injuries.

In 2014, Pat registered with CQC to case manage both adults and paediatrics with brain injuries and catastrophic injuries.

Amber Case Management have been successfully expanding these fields of expertise since establishment.

Pat is licensed to use various standardised neurological assessments and is a member of BABICM, CMSUK, UKBIF.
